MKNK Foundation and AVTI Launch Free Vocational Training for Underprivileged Girls in Montserrado
The Martin KN. Kollie Foundation, in partnership with the Atlantic Vocational Training Institute (AVTI), is launching a community-based Livelihood Skills Training initiative to empower underprivileged adolescent girls in Montserrado County. This training program is designed to build hands-on vocational skills, improve participants’ employability, and create pathways to income generation and financial independence.
Participants will receive training in one of the following vocational areas:
- Pastry
- Catering
- Interior Decoration
- Cosmetology
- Tile Laying
- Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
The training is fully funded by the Martin K.N. Kollie Foundation and delivered by skilled professionals. It will include both theoretical and practical components, ensuring participants gain real-world skills and confidence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a female resident of Montserrado County
- Must be between the ages of 15 and 24 years old
- Must come from an underprivileged or low-income background
- Must demonstrate motivation and willingness to complete the training
- No prior vocational training is required
