L$1 Million In Scholarships For Liberian Students and Youth

APPLY 2024-2025

Last year in December, exiled Liberian activist Martin K. N. Kollie promised to sponsor at least nine (9) Liberian students every year as of the 2024-2025 academic year through full scholarships and financial aid.
This is part of Activist Kollie’s contribution to education and youth empowerment in Liberia.

The Martin K. N. Kollie (MKNK) Foundation is pleased to announce a 1 million LRD Scholarship starting with communities and schools where Martin lived and went to school during his stay in Liberia.

The founder of MKNK Foundation once lived in Logan Town, Jallah Town, Bong Mines Bridge, Stockton Creek-Momboe Town, 72nd Red Light, and 12th Street Sinkor. He also attended St. Mary Catholic School in Duala, Donald Karns Wesleyan Institute in Blamo Town, School of Christ in Jallah Town, and the University of Liberia on Capitol Hill. These are his roots and he is inspired to look back with so much love and help his brothers and sisters there.

The first set of scholarships is exclusively for applicants from these communities and schools. The foundation will provide at least 9 scholarships and financial aid every year to Liberians. The program will not be limited to any community or school as of next academic year (2025-2026)

How to apply:

All applicants must meet these eligibility requirements/criteria:

  1. Must be a Liberian.
  2. |Be a resident of one of the above communities or a student of one of the above schools.
  3. Write at most a 2-page statement of motivation or letter of motivation.
  4. Two letters of recommendation and a proof of academic records.
  5. Applicants with at least an 85% average or 3.5 GPA will be prioritized for scholarship (full tuition and fees).
  6. Applicants with less than an 85% average or 3.5 GPA will be considered for financial aid (full tuition and fees).
  7. Females and persons with disabilities (PwDs) are highly encouraged to apply.

The scholarship covers any secondary school (from elementary to high school), university, and vocational
school.

Send ALL applications to this email: mknkfoundation@gmail.com. The deadline is Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 11:59 P.M Liberian Time… Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. For more inquiries, please visit our website: https://mknkfoundation.org/contact-us/.

I appreciate this platforms for this great opportunity to Liberians, mostly me.
I have not been out of school for some years deal to financial issues since i left highschool. I just enrolled at the University of Liberia (UL) last semester, and I’d had the time to carry all of my courses because I took days out to work and transport myself, but for the few ones, I had high scores.
It will be a dream come through for me if I’m selected on this platforms .

I think, it is better you indicate the amount words the letter of motivation should contain….than just saying to 2-page. How do I know your discretion of 2-page is?

The motivational letter you talk about. Is it about myself, about the scholarship scam or what? Please answer these questions as it will guide me in the application process.
