MKNK Foundation Extends Ramadan Wishes, Donates 40 Bags of Rice to Mosques
Press Statement for Immediate Release
Monrovia, Liberia – March 1, 2025 – As Muslims across Liberia and the world mark the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Martin K. N. Kollie Foundation (MKNK-F) has extended heartfelt greetings and demonstrated solidarity through a generous donation of food supplies to vulnerable communities.
In a statement issued today, the Foundation, through its founder and activist Martin K. N. Kollie, conveyed wishes of “love, peace, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment” to Liberian Muslims observing the sacred month of fasting and prayer.
Recognizing Ramadan as a season of compassion and giving, the MKNK Foundation donated 40 bags of rice (25kg each) to three beneficiary groups. The recipients included the Benson Street Mosque in Central Monrovia (15 bags), the Black Gina Mosque in Jacob Town (15 bags), and a group of elderly residents in the Vai Town and Clara Town communities (10 bags).
“With humility, it was a privilege for the MKNK Foundation to share its widow’s mite at the start of this special journey,” said Mr. Kollie. “We remain committed to identifying with our people, especially during moments of deep religious and social significance.”
The donation is part of the Foundation’s broader humanitarian efforts aimed at uplifting vulnerable populations and promoting unity across faiths in Liberia.
As Ramadan progresses, the Foundation encourages all Liberians to embrace the values of kindness, reflection, and solidarity.
