MKNK Foundation Provides Free One-Month Intensive WASSCE Prep Classes for Hundreds of Liberian Students

Monrovia, Liberia – With just weeks to go before the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the Martin K. N. Kollie Foundation (MKNK-F) has launched a one-month intensive preparatory program to support hundreds of Liberian students in their academic journey.

The free initiative, which is currently running across multiple sections, is designed to help students improve their understanding and mastery of key WASSCE subjects as they gear up for the May 15 examinations.

The Foundation’s goal is to boost passing rates and overall academic performance, particularly for students from underprivileged backgrounds who may not have access to private tutorial services.

“We understand how crucial WASSCE is to the future of these young people,” said Martin K. N. Kollie, the Foundation’s founder and Liberian activist. “That’s why we are offering this program 100% free of charge—to give every student, regardless of financial means, a fair chance at success.”

Dozens of volunteer instructors and academic mentors are facilitating the classes, which cover core subjects including Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Social Studies.

This initiative is part of the MKNK Foundation’s broader mission to promote quality education and empower Liberia’s next generation through sustainable, community-driven interventions.

The Foundation encourages all stakeholders—parents, school authorities, and community leaders—to support the effort by encouraging student participation and commitment throughout the preparatory period.
