MKNK Foundation Shares Rice with Communities to Celebrate the Festive Season

In the spirit of giving, unity, and service, the Martin K. N. Kollie Foundation (MKNK-F), in collaboration with The People’s Power, marked the festive season by reaching out to vulnerable groups and community institutions across Liberia with a major rice distribution initiative.

As part of the program, the Foundation purchased 100 bags of rice from two Liberian-owned businesses, Jungle Water Group of Investment and Mustapha Sky Business Center, at a total cost of US$1,450 (L$257,665.00). The initiative not only supported community members but also strengthened local businesses during the holiday season.

The first phase of the distribution saw 50 bags of rice delivered to several communities and organizations, including the Albino Community in Liberia, the National Union of Organizations of the Disabled (NUOD), Orphan Concern, elderly residents of West Point Township, elderly residents of Stockton Creek and Momboe Town, Ebenezer Don Stewart Christ Pentecostal Church, and Caldwell Road Assembly of God Ministry.

The remaining 50 bags are scheduled for distribution to the leadership of student unions from all 15 counties, the Union of Disabled Women in Margibi County, the Margibi University Student Union, the Good Guys Intellectual Forum in Harbel, and youth groups across 17 districts in Montserrado County.

Speaking on the initiative, the Foundation emphasized that sharing is a blessing and reaffirmed its commitment to standing with Liberians during moments of celebration and reflection. MKNK-F extended warm Christmas and New Year wishes to all, encouraging citizens to remain safe and blessed during the festive season.

The rice distribution forms part of the Foundation’s broader mission to promote compassion, empowerment, and inclusive community support across Liberia.
