MKNK Foundation to Empower 60 Adolescent Girls Through Free Vocational Training
In a major step toward youth empowerment, the Martin K. N. Kollie Foundation (MKNK-F) has officially launched a fully funded vocational skills training program for 60 adolescent girls in Montserrado County.
An MOU was signed today between MKNK-F and the Atlantic Vocational Training Institute (AVTI) to begin the 6-month intensive training from June to November 2025. The program will offer practical, hands-on education in pastry, catering, cosmetology, interior decoration, tile laying, and air conditioning and refrigeration.
This initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader commitment to provide real solutions beyond advocacy by helping to address economic inequality and limited access to opportunity among young Liberian girls.
“It is not enough to only criticize or advocate. As activists, we must also act. This program is a tangible step to uplift and equip our girls with marketable skills,” said Martin K. N. Kollie, Exiled Liberian Activist and Founder of MKNK-F.
